TV LIFE 2.27-3.11 Cover Talk: Ninomiya Kazunari “That Child is Gone”
A reunion from a farewell, there is nothing quite like it. The forever 17 Ninomiya Kazunari gives us his thoughts on “Fukkatsu Love”, and what motivated him to sing about a painful type of love for this single.

Arashi’s new release “Fukkatsu Love” is special for many reasons, but what might be especially interesting about it.
Takeuchi Mariya wrote the lyrics, as part of a famous songwriting couple-duo in Japan. I am particularly glad for that, and Tatsuro too as a composer-arranger. You can search and search, but there is definitely nobody who can work wonders on a piece like Tatsuro. He can resurrect any buried studio 0 and polish it. He definitely doesn’t make mistakes. If a song they gave us didn’t do well, it would be our failure. And it really is a strange feeling, that those two, as a couple, can make such harmony in the studio. I had fun working over that thought. And they wrote the song specifically for Arashi in a very logical manner.
This time, the MV features Ikuta Toma. The shooting took place over three days, but I heard someone familiar came by the set as well.
Ah yes, to help give us that feeling, Kame and Taichi came by. I ate with them, and photographic evidence of it surfaced somewhere! *laughs* I think it has become Yamaguchi’s trademark, as he was the one who fed all of us, and always does. Every time in January when we have the ‘Tokio X Arashi’ issues out. My own feeling, when looking at the video and the lyrics, as well as Yamaguchi, at least what I took from them, was this idea of a farewell, like a passing from seniors and juniors? All of their energy seemed to be going to Jun! So I also tried to spin it, as if we were meeting each other all for the first time, what does Tokio think of Arashi as individuals and vice versa, what do men and women think of each other when meeting for the first time? Hopefully they think I’m a nice person, so that I can get dinner more often! *laughs* So my concept is ‘junior resurrection’; I wish someone could take care of me that way!
